Chris Runner is a native Californian who has spent the majority of his adult life exploring remote and unusual places in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. Growing up in Fresno, Chris chose an adventuresome youth that included frequent hitchhiking journeys to Yosemite and Kings Canyon to go backpacking, mountaineering and exploring. Over the span of more than ten years as a wilderness ranger from Mt Rose south to Yosemite, Chris took literally thousands of photographs of these wild places, concentrating on the unusual and remote.
